...this might apply to quite an amount of people out there.

After watching Resident Evil Retribution, I find that I think the darnest things.
For one particular scene, I have summarised into a one-liner.

"Zombies on motorcycles in Soviet Russia."

DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY INTERNET MEMES AND JOKES I CAN PULL WITH THIS ONE-LINER?


And also Alice's fight scene in the Umbrella corridor at the Japan stimulation facility. She had killed an entire horde using a bicycle chain, a hand-gun and around 2 magazines. Credit should also go to her grappling and martial art skills though. The entire fight scene and her movements are so smooth that they are comparable to how Lady single-handedly took out an entire horde of demons on her own in DMC3.

Only that Alice didn't waste so much gunpowder and ammo.


...and also Alice didn't turn to the screen at the end of the fight scene and go "Stylish!". I am going to either laugh my ass off or blue-screen my brain if that happens. Those and also contemplate if the Capcom producers are taking DMC A LITTLE too far.


Oh yes. Before I forget. THE GOLDEN QUOTE. "Congratulations, you're a bad-ass."

1.  What was the first song you ever heard by 1?
--> "Boys and Girls", at the age of 10. Was completely hooked by then.

2.  What is your favorite song of 5?
--> At the moment, it's "Okay" from her Dejavu album. I also like "TABOO".

3.  What kind of impact has 1 left on your life?
--> Her lyrics and music appeal to me and I can relate to them, be it a sad or happy song. Her music is one of the types I can relate and reflect to as well as take comfort in. This is the simplest way I can put it.

4.  What are your favorite lyrics of 5?
--> I've never given too much thought about her lyrics. But my favourite set would be "KAMEN" from her Best Second Session album.

5.  How many times have you seen 4 live?
--> Never since they have came to Singapore before. v.v

--> OMG Why you ask this. There're just too many to name. XD

--> "Your Embrace". It reminds me of someone so much that as much as I like her music I avoid listening to it whenever I don't want to feel down.

-->  Oei this isn't funny. Stop asking me to pick favourites when I like all of their songs DX.
But if I am to really choose one, "(miss)understood" from the album (miss)understood. And currently "Last Links" from her Rock 'n' Roll Circus album.

--> Polytechnic year 2 semester 2.

10.  How did you get into 3?
-->  Father picked up a CD case when we alighted the plane from Australia to Singapore. Picked out one of the CDs (namely "Laundry Service" by Shakira) and started listening. Fan of Shakira since then.

11.  What is your favorite song by 4?
-->  "stay away". This is actually pretty easy since this is the song that I arguably listen to the most by that band.

12.  How many times have you seen 5 live?
-->  Never.

13.  What is a good memory concerning 1?
-->  Homework marathon to her music. Was pretty productive then.

14.  Is there a song by 2 that makes you sad?
-->  "Memory of Tears" and "X-matic" (Crossmatic). The former as in sad-sad and the latter as in angry-sad.

This is a late post but this is a much more private letter to my 10-year old self than the one I posted on Facebook. So yeah. 

HI CHIBI ME,

1.  Just a heads-up but stop wishing for a complete change of environment when you transfer schools, you're going to get teased and picked on anyway. EVEN MORE, in fact.  So yeah.  Prepare yourself.

2.  And when you DO get teased or picked on, don't start crying like a little bitch.  Keep calm, embrace your abnormality and carry on.

3.  Speaking of which, EMBRACE YOUR ABNORMALITY.  You're simply abnormal to begin with so there's no point trying so hard to be normal to fit in.  And DON’T LIE just so that you can be popular for something.  It’s really not worth it.  Oh yes, and it is perfectly normal to have musical tastes that differ from your friends.  It’s what you like after all.  Who are they to judge?

4.  It's not going to hurt you to say no once in a while.

5.  There are people whom you should and should not listen to; and advice that you should and should not take.

6.  People try to push you back 2 steps, you take 4 steps forward.  Because like I said, there are people whom you should listen to and should not listen to.  People who try to beat you down belong in the second group.

7.  Just because people cry and whine about something they want and you got, that doesn’t mean that you have to give it to them.

8.  In 2007, prepare to fight for your dreams.  Roll around the floor, whine and beg if you have to.  Just swallow your pride and do it.

9.  Trust no one of the male gender until 2008.  Except for your cousin, uncles and dad.  And maybe your teachers and Secondary School seniors. But that’s all.

10.  And drink more milk.  It helps.
